Donna and John have owned the A. C. Stickley house since returning to Strasburg in July of 1997. John served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years and the family had traveled extensively, living in Hawaii, Newfoundland Canada, Whidbey Island WA, Adak, AK and Chesapeake, VA. Despite the numerous relocations, they always called Strasburg home and knew they would return again someday.
Donna has held positions in the hospitality / hotel field in both the private sector and for the Department of Defense. She and John both love to travel and often combine their appreciation for Bed and Breakfast establishments with their antiquing trips, having stayed in numerous B&B’s in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware
They currently share their home with two Goldendoodles, Candella (Ella) and Manteo, who just love the place. They think you’ll love it too and will become as spoiled as they have.
Donnas’ combination of work experience and travel have given her a keen awareness of the little things that make staying somewhere special. She has strived to make the A. C. Stickley Bed and Breakfast as comfortable and inviting as possible, including all the comforts and amenities she's enjoyed in the B&B's she's visited.
